Post subject:  Watch Box Insert and hinges
Hi,

I recently bought a Breitling Super Ocean, the only problem was the box has seen better days (its the bakelite version with the yellow engraved lettering), the litter black 'gator ' clips/hinges have snapped and also the insert that the watch should go over is missing, are these parts easily replaceable ??

Apart from that its perfect (no scratches, has the card sleeve etc.)

Hi Stu (and welcome),

Not sure where you are but always worth asking BUK, BUS or an AD if they could sell you a new one.
I believe in the UK BUK may charge you £40.

The old boxes like the one pictured had very flimsy hinges, and it was quite common for them to break. As Alan said, buying a new one from Breitling is probably the best option, but it won't be the "period" design - it'll be the new model. If you want an old one, then eBay is your best bet.
