| Post subject: | Gaining Time |
Hi all, I am now the very proud owner of a Breitling Chronomat 1999 model and love the watch to pieces. HOWEVER i have noticed that although its my dream watch it's not keeping time acurately. It has recently been serviced! it is a 100% original Breitling (not a fake) prior to me receving it had been stored for about 8 months with no use or winding? Is there an easy fix? is it a send in to Breitling job? anyone else had problems with these EXPENSIVE watches gaining time? it gains 6 min in 24hours ? so not a slight gain? any help advice would be appreciated i do have a movement warranty from a reputable chrono 24 approved supplier ? To me, it sounds like a good idea to use your movement warranty with the supplier of the watch. |

Sounds to me like a tangled hairspring, most likely caused by MAGNETISM.... Have a watchmaker demagnetise it and that should solve the problem. If not, use your warranty for repair... |
