Hello everyone.

The pro2 bracelet on my new SA is very easy to open. When you click the clasp into locked position it takes almost no force to open it. The click sound is also very low, i dont feel it is a tight fit. Almost every time i take the watch off my wrist by opening the "safety flip over lock" the watch comes loose directly because the clasp has opened automatically during usage.

Does this sound normal?

Sounds looser than mine. It is simply a mechanical device and likely requires a slight bend to the accepting flange on the inner clasp. I would likely do it myself, but I fix things for a living. Your AD will certainly be able to make that small adjustment. As to whether it is normal, if you are uncomfortable with it then it should be fixed or changed to your specification. :lingsrock:

I am not sure if it is normal but I have the same problem. Twice it almost came off my wrist. I also had a problem with the crown not turning to adjust time/ manual wind. Another problem I have had is with the second hand jumping instead of moving smooth. I have ordered the Rolex deep sea dweller and will probably unload my super avenger. I am very unhappy with the movement and build quality of this watch. For the money I expected better. I love the style and size but I have been just unhappy with it. For now I just wear my 6.75. That watch seems to me to be almost perfect. Good luck I'm sure they can adjust it I know they could do it to mine, but it doesnt matter to much anymore...

Have heard of this a couple of times - ADs generally solve it with a pair of pliers.

If you are going to fo it yourself make sure that you use brass lined or at least smooth jaw pliers :!:

This is a very simple fix...Open the clasp and with your fingers and thumbs, very slightly bend the "single" bar, increasing it's curvature. You are in effect shortening the length and this will tighten the clasp. The process can be reversed if your clasp had been to tight to start with.

My only gripe with Breitling clasps is that the safety clasp has too much play in it when it's closed, causing it to be noisy and jingle while wearing it. Also, on many examlples, there are alot of machine marks and unfinished areas on the hinged clasp bars making it appear cheap. However, it does not impair the function.

Now i have bent the single clasp very carefully with my fingers and now it is perfect. Thanks a lot everybody and merry christmas!

I'm a bit late to this one, but I had the same issue with one of my old Steelfish clasps. Flat-nose pliers with a load of electrical tape around the ends, and a delicate hand works a treat.

Great tip.

One of my watches had a slightly loose clasp (for my taste anyway). I´ve used a cloth to protect the clasp from the pliers and this worked perfect. Now the clasp feels just perfect when it closes.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm not sure why you guys are using pliers :? . The bend that is required to tighten the clasp is so minute, you can do it without tools and without the risk of damaging the clasp bars. Anyway, whatever works....

Wow, 5 seconds per clasp without a tool, and perfect. The tight ones are easier to open and one that was too lose to call a clasp is now perfect.

Thanks for the advice. One trip to the AD and several fingernails saved.

Wear woolen mitts should make it a lot harder to open.

I just wanted to say thanks for the information in this thread. I managed to drop my watch this weekend, a moment of distraction on my part, and the clasp wouldn't close. I was very hesitant to do any other damage to it but I decided to give this a try before trudging off to the store. It worked like a charm, it doesn't take much readjustment to get it to line up correctly.
Thanks again to everyone who responded to this thread.
