Hi All,

Longtime reader, but I haven't been able to take the plunge into vintage Breitling until now. I've narrowed my search down to the Cossie 809. There are fewer and fewer good examples, but I've come across this one and am a little unsure. It's the twin plane and Cosmonaute shading vs Navitimer below it. Does this suggest the lettering and logo have been redone? Also, the case back lettering appears more of a gold color, although I've found a couple other examples that appear with the same shading.

Should I be concerned or are these normal aging features?

Thanks to all who can lend expertise.

Looks fine. The subdial hand at 3 isn’t original.

Thank you. For my education should it be thinner? This one is from 1967, and I’ve seen others of the same year this same size. Perhaps I’m missing something.

Yes, same shape as the one on the left. Bottom one is fatter.

Indeed, I stared at these photos and couldn't see the nuance. Many thanks.
