Hello! I am researching solid 18k vintage Transoceans for a possible purchase, like the one pictured. I wondered, what bracelet/strap options did these come on? Was there an 18k bracelet? If not, anyone know of a period correct one that could be used, say from JB Champion or another brand?

Perhaps old ads show what this 18k varietal was offered on? Any advice is appreciated!

Daniel

Thanks for sharing the ads!!! That second image show a French ad that references 18 carats, and shows the watch on a mesh bracelet. Could it have come on gold mesh? Obviously, I’d expect that to be obscenely rare, but you never know…

I've been searching for one for years, there's one in the breitling Museum in Grenchen, so at least we know they really existed

Ah, so rare doesn’t even begin to describe it. Do you think there is a period-correct JB Champion or NSA 18k bracelet that would be an acceptable substitute? Though those are quite rare too…

“You never know” :D

To be fair, the gold photo is the same watch as the steel photo, just coloured yellow…. Was it ever actually sold in gold? Good to hear there is a museum piece though!

worth a try, but finding that in the right shade of yellow gold to precisely fit won't be easy at all, I'm afraid

It’s a nice fine mesh, like the original steel ones. Nice.

I added an NSA bracelet to this watch. Anything that fits will work but try and match the gold color.
