Post subject:  Ticking sound on an all black 806 Navitimer
Anyone know whether it is normal to have a ticking sound from a vintage all black 806 Navitimer? The sound can be heard when the watch is running.

Sorry, but I'm really perplexed by your question. What sound were you expecting to hear out of a mechanical watch? Anyway, yes it is normal.

I think you would also know that the Breitling 806 is much louder than other mechanical watches. I wouldn't have asked if it wasn’t significantly different from other mechanical watches.

I'll have to listen again and compare to my other watches, but can’t say I have ever noticed. Anyway, perhaps it is a characteristic of the Venus 178.
