Hello,

I have been doing some research on the Navitimer 806 AOPA logo variations and could use a little help. I have found that some AOPA logos have the acronym on the center shield and some don't, but I cannot seem to draw a correlation to the production year.

I have seen watches with serial numbers correlating to 1953-1954 and some have AOPA and some do not (example w/o attached). Is this variation typical?

Cheers!

It’s not related to year. It’s related to whether it was sold via AOPA or via Breitling.

Navitimer wasn’t launched until 1954 BTW.

To clarify.... Wings with AOPA sold by them, wings without AOPA were sold by Breitling.

Probably more correct to say that we believe so, as nobody knows for sure, but - it’s my belief too.
