A Tourneau marked vintage Chronomat moonphase 801 in 18k came into the watch shop (Breitling AD) I work at the other day. Current owner wants to sell. I'm not finding much info, so any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks,
David.

Nice of you to help the OP @buddman - seems some people just don’t appreciate the effort members here go to to help them out. Perhaps the OP just killed their opportunity to get help from anyone else here.

No not at all. If someone can shed more light on it fine by me. I think the piece is fine. It’s marked Tourneau inside and out, has Breitling 801 reference and serial number 717905 to the caseback, clearly a B dial. Studs are weird. I’m out! Maybe Fred can look it up in the ledgers.

Thank you Buddman for already helping on the FB Breitling Owner's page, just trying to get as much information as possible to justify putting out the money the seller is needing for this watch. I work in at Breitling AD, but vintage Breitling is not my area of expertise. Arcadelt, I do appreciate the help.

Sorry, I clearly misconstrued the tone of @buddman's post.

The watch is undoubtably correct.

This watch was posted in a Facebook forum. I just thought interesting because if the studs on the dial. Serial number to 1947.
