Hello!

Is there something suspicious with this chronomatic?
The seller is a big powerseller, I guess that's positive.

But is it all authentic? Is something aftermarket?
I can tell the strap isn't real, it doesn't matter.
But it looks so new, especially the movement.

I'm quite interested in this beautiful piece, but I want to hear some expert opinions.

Thanks :)

It's been very heavily restored, hence why it looks 'new'. It's a correct 2111 from 1969. That's the magic year for these pieces because it means that we have the first automatic movement. I can't read the calibre number on the bridge, but assume that it says 11 (that was the first with a number of minor evolutions from then on).

It's a nice watch, you just have to decide if you want a piece that has been that heavily refinished / restored - some would argue that it's history and character has been removed, and that will likely keep the price down somewhat.

Ok, thanks!

But what about the crown? The watch looks so mint except the crown. It looks like the metal is gold or bronze underneath the steel, som colour/plating seems to be missing/scraped off. Is the crown plated with steel over some gold coloured metal (or the other way)?

And where do I find the serial on these models? Can't see it on the back. Between the lugs?

Serial is likely on the inside of the caseback (ask for a picture)

Didn't notice the damage on the crown, not sure what that would be - this is a steel watch, not a plating. The crown is obviously an assembly with the stem attached, but not sure what that is.

Thanks for the info!
However, I didn't bid on it. The crown was really strange. I'll find something else, some other time :)
