Post subject:  Possible 809 purchase - any red flags?

Hi all,

I’ve been searching for a while for an 809 companion to my 806 and now I have the opportunity to buy the below. I didn’t research well enough with my 806 and I know now that it has the wrong hands for its age and has probably been a little too restored at one point. So trying to be more diligent now. What do you think of this 809?

Best,
Henrik

IMO, it looks excellent. I think this is the rare "wide-bezel" model that Kurt refers to in his British Horological Journal review (top corner page 368)

It appears ok, hands and bezel fit, Luke seems ok. Very rare as you know probably. Only one rarer than this is the also 1962 panda wide bezel and the black 809 1963. Congrats for the find
