Thanks to all who answered my past post regarding the 791 at auction (which had been making the rounds over the years). Hopefully this one is better than the last.

I see there is a 766 (non waterproof version) at the upcoming Antiquorum auction in Monaco.
Lot 146: Brietling Duograph (case 542743)
https://issuu.com/antiquorumgenevesa/do ... 3/50684621
Est date 1960.
Looks to have Duograph on dial (have asked for better photos).

Wondering if anyone has comments regarding its originality.
I haven't found the case number when searching (as I should have done for the 791!).

Thanks for any opinions on this watch.

from a distance (blurry pics) I am unsure what to make of it but need better pics to ascertain whether or not it might be correct

caseback
caseinside
movement

and the current pics larger , close up and in focus would surely help

missed that thread - catalog pics are pathetic, as Rene says, without decent hi res pics impossible to judge this piece.

case looks genuine Breitling
same case as some of the 785's and 784's of that period

would still like to see an in focus dial shot , caseback and movement pics

finishing of the balance cock w/ missing Cotes de Geneve seems atypical ...

documented in the 1946 catalog & in the metal below

Thanks for the thoughts.

Below is an image of a 762 (sold at Christies, June 2016), discussed here also:
viewtopic.php?f=11&t=60591)
I do not see the Cotes de Geneve on this 762 balance cock.
But perhaps the Cotes de Geneve is found on the 766/791, but not the 762?

On the 766 I am also curious about:
- crown
- text on minute subregister (some of the marks, and 25, 30...)
- dial condition looks quite new for a 70 year old watch

seems the decoration on the balance cock wasn't done on all, not a ref. issue I think, as my "in the metal" pic is from a ref. 764.

yes, the dial looks a bit too good to be true and the logo maybe a slight bit too fat, but really hard to call.
