Hello Everyone

This All Black 806 Navitimer was on eBay recently (seemingly cheap)... I nearly bought it and the seller assured me the dial was correct and all parts original.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-Breit ... 7675.l2557

I couldn't get over the fact that there was something strange about the Sub dial printing and the AOPA wings logo that seemed not to have the 'AOPA' letters through it.

Have I missed a bargain or was I right to be skeptical?...

Looks like a reprinted dial + hands painted with tippex + case sides overpolished .

Man, spotting these things seem so far away for me. The hands do look bad though.

logo is fine, btw., shows this 806 was not distributed through AOPA, but the regular sales network.

I was wondering this... Should it not have 'Breitling' on the dial if there is no AOPA through the wings logo?...

Ugly mess. Look how the 4 goes too far into subdial. And how 5 and 7 not cenetered around lower subdial. And yes, should be some print if no aopa. The logo is too low down, not centered, and IMO also too small. Left subdial hand too long. Etc, etc.........
