Dear all, I've been passed an Breitling my grandfather purchased in the 70's, and I'm having some difficulties identifying it. I would like to know about the model. The watch as passed through a lot over the years, so I was thinking on having a recuperation job on it. Can you please see the picture and help me identifying it, and share some internet links with aditional info? regards |

Looks like a ref 2031 Datora missing the rotating bezel. Circa 1969. |

Hi, many thx for the quick reply. Was there any version of the 2031 Datora, without the rotating bezel or most likely the watch was modified in the past? another question I have: is the original bracelets of this 2031 Datora of leather of metal? |

It would have had a bezel originally. Most likely it was knocked off and lost and just worn as is. It will be difficult to find a replacement. The original strap would have been most likely a Croc or Lizard strap. |

Here is the catalog photo showing the leather strap. I think you may struggle to find the bezel and a clean dial. Patience will be needed. Attachment: qDrmCrP.jpg
