depend on: originality, condition, case material, dial rarity.
yes, they are worth collecting; decent examples start around $2k, go up to 5k and more

Depends on condition , some are worth $500 , some $4500-$5000

If you have a look at completed auctions and sales (eBay , Christies, C24 etc) you will get a good impression what to expect

Have been offer it but no idea what it's worth

Any advice on value? Are the hands correct? Also I notice the word Geneva is missing?

Should it be on the dial, I,ve seen something similar on ******

I would guess value 'as is' currently without more info and/or better pics $2000-$2500

Yes, the hands seem to be all correct , Fred would have noted that if they were not

that depends on the age / serial number . Breitling moved their head qtrs to geneve in 1953 , so anything produced prior to 1953 should not have Geneve on the dial

true, but not ironclad - but the serial indicates case production year, not assembly. cases were used up over the years and the 769 is an extreme example, we see many mid 1940s cases with final assembly 1953 and later, these do have Geneve dials.

not ironclad, I agree

but its a good indicator . and in this case it fits with the serial number

Update Pictures, Dial looks ok a few marks and some of the black numbers are flaking
