Agree, any suggestions on the strap? Croco dark brown?

Definitely croc deployant if you can do the $$. I'd try the black and the dark brown, maybe even the 'gold' or whatever they call it there - with the red hands it might pick that up well. Best suggestion is to take it to the AD and see what works best.
