Hi Guys,

I just picked up this 1810 Chronomatic and I have kind of a stupid question... How can I operate the slide rule bezel? The reason I ask is because I cannot move it at all and am wondering if it is stuck.

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, but here it is:

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks!

If it won't turn then it's stuck and will need cleaning / servicing.

The bezel is actually geared on these models. It is quite an intricate design. You can see an illustration of it at http://www.lesmala.net/jean-michel/navitimer/index2.htm. It definitely needs service if it will not move.

Thank you for all your help.

Does anyone know where I can get a service/repair manual for this watch?

Thanks

There are exploded parts views on the web for both the DD chrono stack and the basic cal 11/12 movement. Some parts are still available, but as usual the ones that are unavailable are the problem parts. There's also a scanned copy of a cal 11 manual with oiling points, but it is difficult to read. Unless you are experienced with chrono movements, I would recommend sending it to a watchmaker that routinely works on these.

Good luck!
