Hello Everyone,

sorry for my bad english, i'm french and i'm looking for some informations about a Breitling's watch. I don't have lots of informations, my grandmother told me that she bought it in 1953. It's completely made of gold. There is nothing written on the back but on the front it's written "BREITLING" and "17JEWELS". Here are 2 photos:

Ladies Breitlings are very difficult to identify simply because there are so many variations - Breitling treated them as jewelery items and so there were very many different variations - easily 50 or so in the 50s.

This looks similar to a 5202/2, although that has arabics at 12, 3, 6 and 9 rather than the numeral set up on this one. Case looks very similar though with a thick gold outer casing - although the lugs are slightly different.

Typically the ladies watches aren't tremendously valuable - $200 - $400 for stainless versions, although obviously the value increases a lot for gold, and if that bracelet is both original and gold then I can see that watch reaching $1,500 to $2,000. The guide doesn't show many bracelets, but there are definitely styling similarities.

The serial number for the watch will likely be on the inside of the caseback, and you may also have a model number there. I know absolutely nothing about the movements in these watches, might be able to figure something out with a photo, but no guarantees.
