From the early 60s, seller claims it to be original.

Do you have a picture of the outside of the case back? Also a picture of the crown would help.

I've asked for case back pictures (inside and out).

Pending a serial number....

It can't be that early 1960s because of the bezel and hands. However, without Cosmonaute on the dial it can't be that late either - I'm guessing 1964.

Movement's a 178 as it should be, and I don't see any obvious problems if the caseback and serial are consistent.

If you bought the watch you can rest assured, not only is it original, but it is also unrestored and have a dial that is as good as they gets.

It's from 1965 / 66.

OK, I need an education on that.......

I thought that the planes logo Cossies all had Cosmonaute on the dial by 1965. I know that the AOPA ones still only had Navitimer on them through 66 (or later?). Certainly some 65s had Cosmonaute on the dial with the planes logo right???

Oh, and the OP did buy it

We saw the planes logo for the first time on a Cosmo in 1965 (as far as I know) and in 1964 on the 806's.

The Cosmo's had both, Cosmonaute, Navitimer or both on the dial, a mess like usual.

In 1967 we saw the red indicators on the dial both on Cosmo & 806 for the first time.

As far as I remember, I have never seen a 1964 Cosmonaute.

In 1962 they was black/black & black/white, all of them with the wider bezel, in 1963 they was black/black & black/white, all of them with the normal beads of rice bezel.

I'm surprised, but I guess we can all still learn.

Have you actually seen the serial nr, or have you just been told by seller that it's from 1967 ?

jwalther Pm'd me to say that he had received the watch and gave me the serial number (seller actually claimed 1963 which we all knew was wrong). I was a little surprised too, but it is a relatively early 67 - 114xxxx.
