Pictures would certainly help - preferably face, inside and outside of caseback and movement.

Pictures up to 250k can be attached directly, otherwise instructions are here - viewtopic.php?f=5&t=453

Oh, and welcome to BreitlingSource!

It has the number 2009 on the back case and a serial number if that would be of any good

Thanks Paul

Looks OK to me...

I've got a ref. 2007 (same style square face but in stainless steel) and I paid a bit over 700 for it... should be a Valjoux 7730 movement... since yours is gold should run a bit more, but not too much... someone will add more to what I say very soon... not sure about the sub hands though... do not know for sure if they are supposed to be gold colored too...

here is mine~

I like your piece~! not quite my style of bracelet though... but definitely adds to the vintage charm...

Thanks for the info I'm learning more and more by the minute....
Am I right in saying that the top time watch was used in the bond film thunderball.
Was it this model??

Finally if the price was right I'm thinking of selling it. Are there any particular dealers out there who would be interested.

Thanks again
Paul....

Top Times were a series of watches, this one isn't the same that James Bond wore. This is a 2009 with a Valjoux 7730 in it, the serial number will help date it - mid 60s at a guess.

You'll be better off selling it privately rather than to a dealer, eBay is always an option, but there is also a Buy / Sell / Trade section here.

I'm reluctant to offer a value opinion in case I become interested in buying it - it's not fair for me to give a price if I am not neutral.

and I paid a bit over 700 for it

If it is gold plated, this price will be fair for a private sale.

The square case Top Time's haven't come into their own yet as far as price. They are probably the least popular models and this particular model, with the heavily styled case front, has a very limited following (imho). Then it's gold too which is another strike against it. All that said, it's worth whatever you can get for it with values going from about $450 - $950 for this particular model. There are some available on ebay at a greater cost but they've been on multiple times without selling. Example:

Having seen the serial number in your sales thread, the watch dates to 1966.

I think the fact is square and gold and not in good condition puts it around £300-£400 no more

I agree 100% with what paul says these are just not desired models,The fact they are square and gold and a light face and in poor condition Its a watch that will not be wanted or desired by the majority of people, Whilst I think the one in the ebay add is in pretty good condition its only £334 buy it now, There is a mint back and chrome one on this site thats is only £750 and thats the most desiarable Thunderball model.

But posters can ask what they like :lingsrock:

Yes they can, and there are rules about commenting on those prices!

The rules still apply in parallel threads so let's be careful please.
