I hope you enjoy it, if you would like me to upload pictures of other Navitimers or Cosmonautes from a certain year or with a certain dial layout then please don't hesitate to let me know.

I am, Kurt B

Both are sweet but this is the sweetest of them all. My birth year. Very nice Kurt.

Well as I said, don't get me started.....

Here's another 1961 on a vintage bracelet, it's a watch that I wear from time to time.

There's nothing like having a watch from the year you was born....

Big welcome Kurt. Some lovely pieces.
A lot of kudos to you for your Navitimer article.
Any plans of writing something new?

Hey Yaffle,

I am constantly updating my article both with information and pictures of watches as I find them.

I have been contacted by The British Horological Journal, which is is the world's oldest technical bulletin in continuous publication, they have offered me 8 pages in their monthly magazine.

Their technical editor and I are in process of making my article ready to be published, and I will of course let you guys know as soon as it happens.

Please see my latest aquasition here, it is also one of the rarest Navitimers of all time.

Hi Kurt B:

Your "1961 on a vintage bracelet" with the beads of rice; how is the bracelet signed (which manufacturer)? Was that original to the watch? Also, I like your NSA bracelet in your first photo; is it signed or generic?

I am also wanting one from '61. It was a good year for some reason ;>)

Will you be letting any of your 1961's go?

Regards,

Chronomania

The Cosmo is full packet NOS, the bracelet is not Breitling, but I'm certain that it was sold like that.

The 1961 AOPA bracelet isn't Breitling either, but it's vintage and most likely as old as the watch, it's my all time favourite bracelet, it matches a black AOPA perfectly.

Check your PM.

Damn that's in good condition (but get that bezel aligned  ). Just how early is that one?

In terms of birth year watches, couldn't agree more, but......

As a child of '71 my options are sometimes less visually appealing

It's from 1956 Andy, and very very rare, it's the only one I have ever seen in the condition they will need to be in to get a place in my Theatre . . . . .

"'71' less visually appealing".....

Picture of NOS 1971 Breitling Navitimer below
