Anyone know if these hands are correct? Totally correct (and totally different to a 7808). Read the description carefully though - chrono doesn't work and it is not keeping accurate time. |

The guy that's selling this watch probably has the best collection of authentic vintage Breitling's I've ever seen. He's also a watchmaker. He sells parts every once and a while and watches that don't fit his needs. If he says the 188 was an option in the 808 I would tend to believe him until proven otherwise. The watch is from 1965, 1965 Breitling had plenty of Venus 175 movements. Why should Breitling in 1965 put a Venus 188 into this watch ? And since 1965 Breitling didnt used the Venus 188, they used the same Valjoux 7730 signed movement. The Valjoux 72, 7736,has been fitted in the Navitimer in either 1954 or after 1967, but never 1965 . |
