hey guys,
I am new on here but wanted to know what you guys think about this one. Is the box something worth keeping for a different watch?

Yep, had one. That's all original. I knew what you were going to post before I opened the picture links. Spotted that last night. Too bad it's the gold cased model which isn't in demand. You can still find these nos for around $1100 but without the paperwork and boxes. I don't believe the box and paperwork justify the asking price though. Way too high IMHO.

Agree with Paul on all counts and emphasis the WAY too high.

But you say the box should be kept for a more demand breitling?
What kinda value can it add that way?

Well, since the watch isn't nos and shows some wear I would put the value somewhere between $600-$800 without the paperwork and box. With the original boxes and paperwork I might be coerced into thinking somewhere in the range of $700-$1000 depending on what's important to you, the packaging or the main item. If you put a weed in a rose garden it's still a weed.

I think what Paul said was that the gold cased watch was less in demand than the steel case.

In my opinion the box adds minimal value to the watch, if anything - it just makes it easier to sell. The papers are worth something as they add to the provenance and I guess I would be prepared to pay an extra $50 - $100 to add a box to the total package, but not much more. Certainly without papers the box is a 'nice to have' rather than anything else.

That said, every buyer is different!

EDIT - Paul beat me to it, but what the heck - posting anyway
