I'm not particularly in the market for a vintage Breitling, but this one has caught my eye on more than one occasion. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... %26fvi%3D1 I asked the vendor (who has good feedback) for some more info, but we were unable to communicate on a sensible level! (i.e. his English is like my German - non-existant!) From what I gathered he knew nothing about this watch whatsoever. Anyway, it looks totally mint (which is odd enough for a 1960's watch), so my question is - NOS? Total refurb? Some kind of "Franken-watch" made up of parts? Total fake? Any thoughts appreciated as my knowledge of Breitlings older than 10 - 12 years is not great. Thanks. |

The 2110's were made from around 1969 to 1973. They came with a variety of different dials, hands, and bezels. The first years used the caliber 11 movement and the later years the cal 12. There have been enough parts available on the internet over the past few years to put one together. I actually have a nos ref 2110 case and dial in my parts drawer that I picked up a few years ago. I would ask for a picture of the movement to determine if it's the correct Breitling movement and not something from a different manufacturer. These were common movements used by Heuer, Hamilton, and many others during that time. The back cover will also show the serial number which you can use to date the watch and also determine whether it has the correct movement inside. The cal 11 is a silver plated version and the cal 12 is a gold plated movement. Paul L |

It seems to be a real model, but the thougth with the movement is right. The pricing is a bit high, but I am never sure with old watches. BG Thomas |
