I thought this might be of interest.

Some very cool pictures and ads.

The styling of the centerfold reminds me of the 1969 catalogue pictures but is much earlier.

Not sure what watch Sean Connery is wearing, it's meant to be a TopTime
but the case is a strange shape. Any ideas?

Be great if anyone else has any unusual ads or period publications featuring Breitling.

The Bond Top Time was modified to include a geiger counter in the bezel (!) - hence why it looks odd.

Forget Newman's Daytona, McQueen's Monaco or Aldrin's Speedmaster,
give me Bond's TopTime and Geirger counter!

That's very interesting. I doubt that any company today that has paid for product placement would
allow the production designer to put a chunky case around their product!

A couple of things strike me about the adverts. Breitling were well ahead of their time in
promoting large watches to women. The model from Harper is wearing a Navitimer, which
must have been pretty revolutionary compared to the cocktail watches everyone else was selling at
the time.

A few years later and Breitling create the largest size retail watches available, still big enough
to give Panerai a run for their money today. I wonder if the Bond TopTime was an inspiration for this?
