Hello. First sorry for my english i m french :D

So i have a vintage breitling chrono matic (see picture)
Do you think its a pre serie model ? The date is black... its a caliber 11. I dont have serial number because nothing on the backcase. Thanks you :D

Well, your watch has had a hard life. Most of the hands have been changed and the dial has wear. But the case design is unique to Breitling, so no chance the caseback is wrong. Probably was polished to remove marks, which erased the original engraving. Or it could be a replacement back, but I would think it’s been polished.

Yes the hands have been changed.... and the bezel too. I read one day that when the date is black its probably a pre serie ... what Do you think about that ? How can i know the year if the watch ? Thanks

I’m not sure about pre-series - I gather this refers to cal 11 vs 12. What’s that to do with blank caseback?
