I have been given a Breitling Top Time Geneve by my father who has had the watch since the 1960s. It is in excellent condition but does not have a Breitling strap. It has a stainless steel case. Does anyone know what type of strap this would have originally come with?

many thanks

afraid we will have a hard time accessing a pic on your hard drive ?

in the mid 60s Breitling neither had special straps nor buckles, in catalog pics I saw black croc and calf - but a lot "works" with them, black/brown/tan croc, calf, rallye, Tropics.

Thanks for that. Do you happen to know the strap size? The measurement between lugs is 18mm, so I'm guessing from other posts on here 18/16. New to this so I'm not entirely sure what that means.

18/16 means 18mm at the watch lug and 16mm at the buckle. To fit the watch all you need is a strap that is 18mm at the lugs (watch end) and the approprate buclel/clasp/etc. Nice looking watch. I agree a mesh bracelet would work on that. Congrats and enjoy.

many of the straps until the 60s were narrower at the buckle, 18/14; you might find some of those.
