I find this one intriguing.

If we put the Breitling logo to one side for a moment then there is nothing at all that I can see wronf with the watch, and with an apparently correct 1957 1190 and a purchase date of 1960 there is every reason to suspect that all is fine.

However, the logo is wrong, and the B / Breitling combo is not usual.

So now we have to consider why this watch would have been modified between 1957 and 1960, and then we are forced to consider the other unique aspect to the dial - the Giro d'Italia element. My guess is that a 1957 1190 was modified with the addition of Breitling and Giro d'Italia in order to create this 'special edition'. Whether that was a factory authorised modification by someone downstream of Breitling - an Italian retailer perhaps, or whether it was unapproved is open to speculation, although I have a tough time believing that Breitling would allow someone else to handle their logo.

yes agree 100 %

The "Giro d'Italia " may be was autorisied for an italian Breitling dealer, this could be true.

But why they should change the Breitling logo ?

Another possibble explanation: the watch lay long time ( 1957 till 1960 ) in the shop window of an Italian dealer in the sun and needed therefore a revitalization of the dial. But its only speculation. Compare the colour of the background of the dial with mine, its to much white, only beetween the " B " its looks older. I remain thereby, the dial is refurbished.

Thanks to everybody. I spoke with my daddy about your suspects. He confirmed me to have bought the watch in a famous jewelry in Milan of his friend, a German man that open this jewelry in Milan.
So, your suspects can be real but it seems to us very strange that someone worked to modify the dial to insert "giro d'Italia" and didn't write Breitling as usual.
If I will have some more informations i will post yer (maybe the next time I will go in Geneve i will try to ask to some jewelry).

Bye
