I'm just saying because it seems like a decent price for an 808 C-Mat... (correct me if I'm wrong though)
but from the looks of it the hands look correct, movement looks okay, it's got the beaded bezel, and it's even got the signed crown...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWAX:IT

I got my Premier from ebay AND my Top Time serviced from craig coming in at the same time today (hopefully) so it'll be Christmas all over again... (fingers crossed) but somebody please tell me there is something wrong with this one so I don't get tempted to do something I shouldn't be doing...

REAL QUICK EDIT: I remember talking about another 808 in a previous thread and there was some previous debate about which Venus movement is supposed to be in the 808...

It looks OK to me, auction will end before I get home and check references, but no obvious problems.

Now I know what is wrong. "he only sells to US buyers, not to european, so you have a big chance to buy a real bargain." Here in europe it goes much more expensive

Quick revival of the thread...

How about this one?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Breitling-chronomat ... 3a57c78f57

After I let go of the first one, (the white dial) which got relisted, and sold for 1175, I can't justify paying 500 more for the same watch... but this one is the black dial, and the caseback for the one above listed looks so cherry~! Basically everything looks better on this watch... and all of the pieces of the puzzle are there... not too fond because of the seller's location but would like some opinions...

The white one was absolut genuine and a real bargain.

But I dont think, this black one is genuine, I never saw this Chronomat with Valjoux 188 calibre.

Venus 188 of course, not Valjoux.

I've not seen a 188 in a Chronomat either, and I don't like the look of the outer slide rule on this one - looks a little 'unrefined'.

No wonder... I've never seen that movement either but it looked correct, assuming it fits in the case like a glove...
