What are your thoughts? Ordering an air strike on Iran's military leader Qasem Soleimani was it a good decision? Well considering that he has played a great part in terrorism in various countries. Or was it just a chess play by Trump to save face and possibly his position and aspirations.

Mixed feelings but I hope it doesn't escalate into something worse.

Things are way different in today's world than they are presented.
The most of the people don't have a slightest clue what's going on, but I'm not going there.
Still remember very unfriendly response from Serge about 10 years ago, when I wrote that war against terrorism is a big fat lie.

So you're saying the move by D. Trump is more than just a war on terrorism? Just a summary of your view of what is really going on please..

It's slowly getting out of control. An attack on a U.S air base in Iraq, and insure there will be a counter attack. Allies and like minds might then come in, countries taking sides and what happens after is just the most dreadful part.

There is always some agenda, he might have done it to ensure more votes on the elections, but imho that was just a murder.
He has the least amount of blood on his hands, comparing to last 5,6 presidents, but it looks like he's catching up.

About war on terror, it's like playing chess with yourself.
You make terror and than you go to war against it, problem-reaction-solution, all done by one side.

COULD'T DISAGREE WITH YOU MORE, next time you visit the states I will take you to a site where over 2600 murders were committed in a very short period of time. Innocent individuals, including over 25 friends and co-workers. General Soleimani had the the blood of many individuals on his hands, those who live by the sword will die by the sword. Good riddance!

I was a little dubious about letting this thread run as I always believe you shouldn't mix “politics with pleasure”, and highly emotive topics like this could easily get out of hand given our global membership base.

We have a diminished active number of users these days anyway compared to the "good ol' days" (thanks for that, social media!), so we can't afford to be falling out with each other!

I'm going to lock this one up.
