Well I thought I would share a project I am undertaking, got a business loan plus savings and put it in a Modern Fine Dining restaurant. Emphasis on guy food  so Black Angus steaks, Wague burgers, Italian pastas....

https://instagram.com/filwa_gourmet?r=nametag

I am not a fan of social media, but it is a must for any modern business. I will be updating that as we go along.

The dream is to one day have several branches across the globe, where I can travel and manage them.

Very cool! I will be following along. I quit my job like 5 years ago and bought a restaurant. Bought a 2nd one 2 years ago. Now developing a new concept that I want to get off the ground this year so I very much admire and relate to your dream! Best of luck with the new venture!!

Exciting project, Altair — best of luck!

Hope all goes well with your new ventures, too, natesen.

Good to know another restaurantuer is on board! Best of luck to you as well!

It is rather daunting isn’t it? A million moving parts and it seems everything breaks down sooner rather than later, and we haven’t even opened yet!

Still, it has been a long-standing dream.

It is a huge venture to undertake and you are correct in that there are a million moving parts and details that all need attention for it to all come together properly. Both restaurants I have were existing when I bought them so I have yet to actually go through with opening a brand new one like you are doing right now. I'm working on that currently but I am definitely further behind in the process than you are right now!

And I don't have a restaurant background at all and came from the finance world so it was definitely a learning experience going into the first one. But I honestly really enjoy doing it and hope to continue growing in this industry and hopefully never having a normal job again haha.

I have the utmost respect for the both of you. Running a restaurant, much less two is a daunting task. Here in the states statistics indicate that over 50% of new restaurants fail within the first 12-18 months. Altair, I wish you luck in the opening of your restaurant, I just love a good piece of prime rib! Natesen, continued success with both of your establishments. Drop me a line with the names and locations, I am always on the road and I travel by my stomach, not an atlas!

Yes, it is a very difficult business, profit margins are low too, 8% average. Not to mention the complexity of daily operations is truly maddening!

That said, the real pleasure in executing a restaurant is the possibility of delighting people, I never see people quite as happy as when they go out to a great restaurant. The anticipation of the upcoming great meal, the joy of companionship, the relaxation in a great setting, its wonderful if done right and I really am looking forward, when all is said and done, to walk in my restaurant and see people laughing and enjoying themselves in a fashion I designed. Truly a dream!

That said, the real pleasure in having major success with these fat burners for men and executing a restaurant is the possibility of delighting people, I never see people quite as happy as when they go out to a great restaurant. Very exciting indeed, Altair. What are you doing marketing-wise? May I suggest checking out Gary Vaynerchuk and what he has to say on that front. You won't regret it, I promise. The man lives and breaths entrepreneurship and marketing and gives all his info for free.
