Yep, it's the old truth that money does not always guarantee taste.

This must be the same guy who has a Lambo wrapped in the same colour in London - they park next to each other in Marlybone. :poke:
A guy close to me also has an Aston Martin wrapped in a blue reflective foil

Actually this belongs to a Sheik, I won’t say his name to protect his identity.

He and his son have bought several hotels and indeed the pier in Eastbourne. They both love their cars and gold! The son has a pimped Range Rover and a Yellow Lamborghini currently.

I have to say that the Sheik is putting a huge amount of investment into the town, and loads of employment. I’ve met him a few times, and despite me not being a fan of that Merc, I am certainly a huge fan of the man himself.

I understand his Son is a lovely guy too.

D

Guess I ought to apologise for the merc comment, but.... it blinds me on the road as he roars past my humble Mazda. And the Sheik isn’t afraid to let those 700 horses loose.

Good for him.

Some people just have a deep need to be noticed. Probably a deep rooted requirement such as this was in all of us at some point, an idiotic right of passage. My Bentley 6.75 was mine. This need varies from person to person I have noticed, and might be a passing thing as with most of us or a permanent dimension of a personality.

Then again, the gentleman might just have a diminutive Johnson. Thankfully, we will never know.

I won't say they're trying to be noticed. They've got enough money as it is to be noticed without even trying. I think it's just their choice in colour. Besides, it doesn't look bad to me.

Yes, it's a lovely car. But don't see what's wrong with changing the colour to gold. That's Art and it's beautiful.
