Is it me or is there less activity on this site now. I saw a lot more postings etc. back in 2012.

If so, is it the site, the brand (Breitling) or something else?

There may or may not be less traffic in this sub-forum, but the vintage forum still has the edge when it comes to expertise on vintage models, although many of the super-collectors there also split their time across a few of the other watch sites.

It comes and goes. There's always a lot of activity around Basel. Maybe once some of the new models start showing up in ADs, more threads will pop up.

I think it's partly to do with the increase of groups on social media - FB, Twitter etc.

I still think this forum is better than other channels but they tend to be more accessible - smart phone, tablet etc. I know TapTalk and similar apps make it better than it was but still less user friendly than FB for instance.

Just my thoughts anyway.

I was more active here a few years back but that had more to do with where and how I was working - it was easily accessible on a daily basis as I worked more at home rather than being away most weeks.

Still love this forum though!

I think a lot of the forums are down overall. You can look on timezone and not see new threads on some of the brand forums for days or even weeks.

...and yet it seems like a frenzy over on watchuseek and Omega Forums, and Rolex Forums are steady too. Perhaps the popularity of Breitling is waning or the traffic on newer Breitlings is being siphoned to Breitling sub-forums elsewhere. I maintain, however, there is nowhere other than here that I would come to discuss vintage Breitling watches.

Interestingly, I was reprimanded by a mod on WUS for directing someone to the Breitling Source data outside of the forums, which are an excellent resource on model and calibre details and numbers. The explanation was that I was directing traffic to a commercial site to the detriment of WUS sponsors.

Even some of the brand forums on watchuseek aren't too popular. Outside of the Omega and Rolex forums on there, I don't think there is that much activity. I do agree the most activity seems to be on The Rolex Forums.
