With a keen interst in time, watches!, and a profession in mesurment, cabinet maker! the programme really appeled to me."
"Precision: The measurement all things" on the BBC. A full episode about the measurement of distance and time with their relationship to each other. I can't find a link to the episode on line but I highly recommend watching, pun!, it.

One funny fact was a man back at the turn of the century in London went up to Greenwich set his timepiece to the correct time and headed off to the City to "sell" the correct time to Businesses.

Recommend viewing.

An entrepreneur back at the turn of the 2oth century! Who would have guessed. Well, it was the time when anyone could sell a dream, and a time when the world was less cynical than it is now (probably because we had not seen entrepreneurs up till then…….). :)

I will have to look out for it when it hits our BBC equivalent (the ABC). Hopefully, that’s where it will end up.

Seconded Breanach78. I caught that episode - the first of three - when it was on a couple of months back, and it was absorbing. Presented by Marcus du Sautoy, if that helps people to look out for repeats.

I think it might be a bit sooner than that. Heres hoping anyway. The other thing we need to hope for is that Pay TV don't see this as a BBC comedy or drama, and bid higher than the National Broadcasters. Thats probably the only way we will go to see it on either SBS or the ABC.
