I really like Breitling to have special characters like JetMan or Herbert Nitsch as advertising media. But I'm wondering what effect it has/will have in case of an accident. What will people think about Breitling when one day the headlines read "JetMan killed in crash"? Or what do people think today about Breitling after Herbert Nitsch's dive accident?
Do you think this has a negative impact on the public view?

I'm not sure how it would affect if there was, say a serious incident. I am with you in that I like how Breitling funds people who do things that people think they cannot do. I've followed Herbert long before his Breitling association and Breitling's collab with him brought me closer to the brand. The reality is that many people who have pushed the progression of society or pushed the limits of what we know as scientific law sometime suffer negative outcomes. Chartering unknown territory has always meant more risk. That means that it is a risk that those pushing the limits have to accept and those funding those who push the limits also have to accept. In the case of Herbert's incident, a swift emergency response saved his life from a potentially deadly embolism, so you could argue the professional association and the funds + publicity from it allows a better emergency response infrastructure to be available, if ever needed.

Realistically, it will probably help. Every local newscast talking about the Breitling jetman is a good thing as far as publicity goes.

In English...

Quote:
In the outskirts of Valkenswaard is a fighter jet crashed. The two occupants of the Jet Aircraft L-39 were able to crash with an ejection seat to safety.

The unit of the French Breitling Jet Team in Den Helder had participated in an airshow. Towards the Belgian military base Kleine-Brogel collapsed down.

Cause:
The cause is still unclear. The plane is not caught fire.

One of the passengers got to the landing with his parachute slightly injured. He was taken to hospital with back injuries.
