I believe the list here in the UK is likely to be around the £50K mark anyway, so that one for $90K wouldn't be too bad for Rip-Off-Britain!

Personally I don't really like Japanese cars as a rule, but I must say the GTR is a great looking piece of kit. And awesome performance too.

I think it'd be best to wait a couple of years and pick one up second hand.

He then took it to the track - when the sat nav knew it wasn't on a public road it switched off the speed limiter!

WOW! And the top two times are manufacturer claimed times as well. Looks like that Corvette was being a bit cheeky - "Dubious measurement" and "Dubious start point"! And considering it's down by around 170bhp on the other two, the GTR's time is frankly amazing.

I can't wait to see what the aftermarket does with these. The previous generation GTR's (R34 etc) had some 1200+hp examples running around

Actually, no I'm not kidding. However, as the family should fit as well (wife and two small kids) it will probably be something more practical than the Skyline. Likely a Cayenne or a Lexus. (Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to keep the car after the contract expires, unless I buy it out from the company.)

When I was there April-June and settled housing, schools and similar we also talked about cars. I don't think they'll require me to choose a Sentra, it was them who suggested the Cayenne...

We'll see I guess. One thing that concerns me is the turning radius/capacity (have no idea what this word is in English, hope you get what I mean) as quite a lot of Tokyo streets are very narrow with no room for large turns.
