I've had fast cars aplenty in the past also luxury cars (2 x 7er Bms, M3 etc etc)
But NOTHING comes close to what I got a shot in yesterday...NOTHING

Sublime comfort, every toy, HUGE power even HUGER torque...

I want one but alas, I'll need to wait a year or two and buy used as they have monumental depreciation.

well, what is it??

Go for the CL63 AMG version Doc. It's a bit more "hardcore"!

I have tried an sl55 amg and it was insanely fast...not much use for me as I need to carry the kids.

I'd buy a cl in a heartbeat if I had a spare 230,000 dollars (yes that is how much it costs here!!!!)

meantime I have to stick with my Discovery HSE Diesel as I earn UK medic fees not USA ones

If I wanted hardcore I'd have a caterham superlight 500

I'm more of a lardy waftmatic magic carpet ride sort of guy, the Discovery has air suspension and it is awesomely comfortable...a really smooth ride on tarmac or off

Nice choice of car doc! I had the pleasure of testing one at the nuremburgring in germany last christmas. I think my adrenaline is still pumping at a slightly dangerous rate!! I totally agree with you. Likewise, if i had the money I would buy one today. Amazing car. If you do decide to purchase, post some pics!! :)

Nice, but too much 'teutonic luxury' for my liking. I prefer more left of field stuff, and if I had similar money Id go for the new Lexus LFA. Some are calling it the spiritual successor to the venerable Supra, others are calling it the pinnacle of Lexus' technical expertise...I just think it looks and sounds the dogs dangly bits.

And just listen to the noise it makes :D

The new Lexus looks great, but I just can't get Alan Partridge in his IS200 out of my head!

R8 and the AMG...Hell I'm not picky!

But why not bust the SLR?

Of course, if money is no object, the 1001 hp, quad turbo, 10 radiator, 250+ mph Buggati Veyron would work too.

The 'Full Ling' in the car world would be an all solid SUV  something like the Hummer H2 or at least a Range Rover Vogue or Sport :)
