Hi guys,

Hope you are all well.

My old pc just died :( So as it needed replacing, I decided to redo the flight sim I like to play with too.

Gave the old projector I used to use to my friends son, so he can have cinema in his room, his dad already painted a screen onto his bedroom wall.....

I got myself a 42" LED. Works extremely well. Very pleased.

Sad 'tho, a 51 year old hiding in his garage/den playing games.... Call of Duty is great fun on this setup too....

Anyone else like to fly without the fuel costs or weather issues????

I know Findo-1884 does.

Man that's awesome. Just curious how realistic is it?

Which sim/game is it? What brand are the stick/throttle/pedals, do they have force feedback?

Hi guy's

To be honest, it's as realistic as you choose it to be. Both in control and immersion. I set mine to the highest difficulty as it's more fun. When I fly an airliner I use Vatsim. You can even join a virtual airline. I can log in, file a flightplan and get full time ATC fromlther users. When you start its completely stressful!

This before you even fly.....

I'm currently using Siatek X52 Pro Hotas and Thrustmaster Pedals, this as my Thrustmaster F-16 stuff also died after many years of use. I must replace them as they are much better than the ones I'm using.

I'm using FSX Acceleration. I love the military missions, finding the Aircraft Carrier the most difficult thing to accomplish.

It's just fun, although, when my lovely wife bought me a true Flight Sim experience, I was able to land with no real bother. So It's a very good grounding.

BUT I LOVE the Combat sims, WWII up to the wonderfully encompassing Falcon Allied Force.. If you want totally real air combat, this is the one. You can even do the complete start up as it is done in a real F-16

Well I enjoy it......

D

Davey.

I see you have the bug big now!!!

If you are ever up my way I'll take you to the new version of what we have up here. The A300-600 has become a 737NG but in a way even bigger than before.

Great setup! Oh, how I miss flight sim! I've haven't used it in years.

Findo, do you have any pics of your setup!? It sounds interesting...

Willows, this was the A300-600 cockpit sitting at the threshold of RW23 at Glasgow (EGPF).

The visuals are done by back projection by the reflected image coming off a large mirror.

I'll get some pics of the 737 next time I'm round at the sim. It's the iFly Pro with full overhead, solenoid operated start switches, cabin pressure simulation and motorised throttle quadrant for autopilot authenticity. It has 2 FMC's and a fully operational MCP and EFIS panel.
