I actually meant with your GF and not Dr. Moon River

They are coming out with a new M5 in 2010 with I think 575hp. I was looking at pics of it and they changed the front a little bit with some added vents on each side that look super cool. When I was looking for the 550 last year each dealer I went to only had one M5 at the most on the lot so I think they are a very limited production.

That sounds like a nice 7 series you had! Porsches are for woman(6 cyl are for p*ssies!!!) I have never had any respect for them since they are 6 cylinders even they look nice. A good friend of mine went out and leased a red convert. boxter S(I thought he was a straight guy LOL)

Damn, that's going to be a monster! Fantastic!
And the other good thing is it'll mean that the price of the current model will hopefully drop a little more!

How is your Navi World doing these days BTW?

I know that means you can get an older M5 for a good price. I am sure after we see the new one we will not want the old one. You know how that goes!!! I am sure it will get 5 mpg lol! My 550 sucks gas,I keep thinking there must be a hole in my tank

I am waiting for a replacement spring for one of my pushers and soon as that arrives he will look at the GMT. I am excited to get back though. How is the new black face SA doing?

It's doing just fine thanks Naviman! I do love the SA. And the new one is starting to grow on me a little too! Still can't beat the arabics on our versions though! :)

Driver8,

You are into anything fast huh. I am also a BMW freak. I have a 2007 550i which is just an amazing car. I am dying for the M5 though. Have you seen the new M3 yet? I just saw one about two weeks ago and it is a great looking car,do you have one? To satisfy my real need for speed I have a 79 Corvette with a stroked 406 small black with a pair of aluminum AFR 220 heads among many other goodies in the motor. The car is crazy fast but nothing makes me happier then my Beemer lol!

I've heard the new M3 is supposed to be a monster. Of course the M5 is no pushover.....There's a sweet one on Ebay with 4900 miles on the clock, $99,000 USD list. Yours today for the low, low price of $87,980.

That's one sweet motor! I like the tastefully done mods - nothing too outrageous. And the stealth carbon fibre BMW badges look great.

I think it would benefit from carbon fibre trim inside instead of wood though as I don't think that's really in keeping with the sporty look of the rest of the car.... I'm sure I could live with it though!

I think the postage costs might be a little high for me though!

Now that is an amazing looking M5 huh! The new M3 is 400hp and a V8. I have only seen one on the road so far and it does look nice. I do not think you can go wrong with any M from BMW. The M6 I saw had all carbon fiber interior and was really nice. We need to figure out which Ling goes with each car the best lol!

Driver8,

Did you find an M5 this weekend? I just received a sketch/drawing of the new 5 series in the mail Saturday from BMW and they have changed the lines a little bit and should be a nice improvement.

No, I've not been looking at cars this weekend, Naviman. I honestly can't justify it at the moment. :(

I hear you! You have more Lings to buy huh lol... With gas at $4 a gallon here an M5 would be a small fortune to feed anyway. I was on a forum with guys saying they need to buy a gas station now that they have an M5. 11mpg in the city and 17 on the highway is hard to swallow these days anyway but it sure is an awesome car though. Maybe someday if gas prices ever come back down again but I do not think that is gonna happen anytime soon. We all might be riding a Schwinn soon with gas prices. Now that is a sight to behold. A man with a brand new Ling on his bike lol!

Yeah well petrol is around £5.48 a gallon around where I live. That's over $10 a gallon!! The M5 would bankrupt me the way I'd clearly drive it!!

(And yeah you're right I do have more Breitlings to buy! Well, one in particular.... and I think I may have found a decent example! )

WTF $10 a gallon???????? Yeah I would say an M5 is out of the question. You would have to drive around with extra gas tanks in the trunk just to get around town. That is a car that deserves to be beaten on daily and trying to save gas in that thing is a crime lol

Ah ha Naviman, I couldn't possibly reveal what it is until it's safe in my hands! All I will say is that it's been hard to track down and I still have a couple of things to sort out, but once I have it I'll post up some pics as soon as poss. :)
