Mine is a way of linking my hobby of military aviation, which introduced me to Breitlings, with my first Breitling, a vintage Shark Chrono Quartz.

Avatar is the sharp end of a McDonnell F-4 Phantom II, my favourite airplane.

The Phantom was stationed here with our local Air National Guard Squadron when I was younger. It was replaced by the F-16, and now recently the A-10.

I miss the F-4!

That is a superb photo. Thanks for posting.

Thankfully, the German, Greek and Turkish AF all still operate the F-4 and at least one of them sends a couple of birds to the RIAT show at Fairford each year. :D

We had this F4 at our last airshow two years ago. It's in prestine condition, courtesy of the USAF.

:) My name stems from being involved with aircraft for many years, from B29s (the RAF flew them in the early 50s, we called them Washingtons) to Canberras, Valiants, Victors,Vampires, Hunters, Gnats and Hawks. As time went on I became more involved with admin' so became a "Desk Pilot", now as I'm long retired its an Armchair!

PS. I can see why you like the F4, Sharkmouth... superb A/C
