Just had word that an Airbus A380 development aircraft will be displaying at Fairford at 12:40 on Saturday. Not sure if this is local or Zulu.

If you're not aware, the Saturday show has been cancelled due to state of the airfield. Car parks are under water apparently. Awaiting decision on Sunday show. Saturday tickets are NOT valid for Sunday.

Blimey that was close!

I tried a bit of hint dropping with Mrs BB - you know the kind of thing - "..........so I thought if you're out Saturday I might go the the airshow at Fairford.........." (bearing in mind I'm in Glasgow) and the tumble weeds rolled across the room etc - picture the scene. My late brother lived near there so my wife knows where I meant!

So - I decided to knock it on the head 'till next year.

I'd have been gutted if the hints had worked and it was cancelled. I'm disappointed for you guys of course but fingers crossed for some of it to be saved.

Maybe have to settle for Leuchars in September.

Thanks for that Sharky, checked RIAT website at teatime, nothing about it. lucky i popped on the forum before i went to bed as i was getting up at 04.00. Looks like a poor decision, Planes fly in the sky not in car parks ! :(

A pity, I was due to leave today for it and had a heads up earlier in the day. A shame for the thousands that may find out too late.
