Ferdinand Piech is head of the Porsche family which owns Porsche car manufacturer and Porsche Design (including Eterna).

So what watch does he choose to wear at an official event?

Well, a friend on another forum posted a picture of him and he kindly agreed to me linking to it as I thought you might be interested to see it here too.

Breitling of course. Looks like an Aerospace, complete with additional UTC module on a shark strap.

Now I wonder if he came to the event in his BMW.

Mr. Piech shows its better to buy your own Breitling than get limitless amounts of Porsche Design watches.

Ferdinand Piech is known in Austria for beeing watchcrazy.

He lives south of Salzburg and I was told, he is visiting the local watchdealers every two weeks. He allways wants some customizing of his watches. So he has hands changed, has different bands adapted to fit on watches they don't belong to at all. I even heard a story, that he had someone made a golden pilotband fit on a golden Daytona....
