The second hand for the time keeping part of the watch is on the 9 subdial and sweeps. The Chronograph second hand is on the main dial and also sweeps, but only when using the chronograph. Hope that answers your ?.

For the Colt Chrono, will the second hand be sweeping all the time or just when the chrono (stopwatch feature) is on? I prefer the "sweeping" motion of the second hand in an automatic watch over the "ticking" motion of a superquartz, but if the second hand isn't on unless I'm using the stopwatch, I'm thinking it's not a big deal to me. I appreciate your input. |

BoneDoc - thanks for the reply. Yes, that clears things up. For a watch such as the Colt Auto II, the second hand will constantly sweep, correct? That's one of the things I was looking for. I like how smooth the sweep is on an automatic even though the SuperQuartz is more precise as far as time. |

All mechanical Breitlings have a regular sweeping seconds hand, the non chronographs have it centrally and the chronographs have it on a subdial. |
