Can anyone tell me if there is a thread, with pictures, of someone having an SA brushed completely? Has it been done? Should it be done? I've searched all over the site, but can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for, so I've decided to ask the masters for some help...Thanks in advance! :lingsrock:

SA, no. I haven't seen or heard of anyone doing it. You can certainly be the pioneer ;)

Different!

Personally I prefer Breitlings to be polished, but I'm sure a brushed SA would look pretty good too.

I am in the process of having this checked out with Breitling, through my AD. Im sure it can be done, I am just concerned with any additional charge, wait time and if the AD will still discount this piece. She was going to call BUSA this week and get back with me. I will post an update as soon as I know something.

BTW, It WILL look awesome... I am sure. I am a less shiney type of person and so the Evo is all the shiney Breitling I really need. (right now :) ) and If I had a brushed SA I would wear it more often than the polished version. The same leanings towards brushed finishes has got me more interested in a Motors T instead of the 6.75 as my first Bently.

I thought the SA was pretty much all polished, except for the bezel? If you get it done, too, it will look awesome.
The one that really impressed me, was the new polished Blackbird. They polished everything, including the bezel, and it really does shine! I was thinking at one point of having my Steelfish completely polished. The sides of the bezel and case are polished, tops are brushed as is the dial. I am liking the look so much that I decided not to.
Cheers,
Carl

I'm very interested in seeing the finished results of a brushed SA...please let us know the progress and of course some pics just as soon as they are available!

I would prefer a brushed SA to the polished one (just my opinion!) and if I pull the trigger on a SA, I would greatly consider having it brushed.

If you also let all of us interested in this what the process is and how much extra it costs, we would all appreciate it!

I look forward to hearing and seeing the results of this!

UPDATE

I just heard from my AD. Breitling said, no problem to fully brush finish a SA for me and no additional charge. I am waiting for the quote for "MY" price, but since my AD never goes higher than 20%, I think I am looking at $3640 shipped. She also said that it could take anywhere from 2 to 4 week to get and that they would have to have payment in full, upfront. Sounds like I might be ordering another watch...... and its only Feb 2... At this rate I am not going to get my PAM 111 for a while!

Scott

PS my Phantom is due back, from repair, in a couple weeks! I cant wait!

Sounds like a great idea! I just like the fact that it will come that way from the factory. That means that every surface, on every part, and every small detail will be brushed. I think that if you had to do an after sales brush, it might not turn out quite the same. I am really looking forward to seeing it!
Cheers,
Carl

Now Im wondering 2 things.

Should I have the head polished like the steelfish (sides polished and top brushed) or completely brushed?

Do I want white or black? I lean towards black.

I think brushed would be awesome. Bronco, i think the two tone brushed and polished would look the business. Exactley how you decribe the brushed, polish look sounds like my Motors T. I can't wait to see it. I bet if there's alot of interest you'll see the brushed come out in their lineup very soon or at least have an option for it.
