Post subject:  Difference? NAVITIMER GMT 46 vs NAVITIMER B01 46

Hi all
I am looking to add the first Breitling to my collection and confused between NAVITIMER CHRONOGRAPH GMT 46 vs NAVITIMER B01 CHRONOGRAPH 46, what I am struggling to understand why B01 is more expensive than GMT, since GMT has more functionality. And other than GMT and positioning of chronograph dials what are the main differences?

Apologies in advance if it is a stupid question but quite new to Breitling, any thoughts?

Many thanks

Sal

A very simple answer is that the Navitimer GMT 46 mm is not an in-house movement or variant of the B01 movement. The B04 is the GMT variant of the 01 movement and it is 48mm in diameter when used in the B04 Navitimer GMT.

So I'm guessing in-house moment is better moment then they have used in GMT?

Better? I do not have the expertise to say which is "better". I do know that brands and collectors place a premium, price wise, on "in house" movements. Whether or not the premium for a watch with an "in house" is worth it is up to the buyer to decide through research and their own preferences!
