If you are after rugged, reliable, tool watch with titanium case and great WR, chronograph function - you have only few choices to be fair - Chrono Avenger Cal 13 and Chrono Avenger M1 Cal 73. Which one would you pick and why? Especially if they are at the same price.

Mechanical version, always.
It has "soul".

I agree... mechanical version. I've had many versions of both, and while the quartz version is cool because it's always the right time, and the pushers can be used to the full depth of water resistance thanks to the magnetic switches in the pushers, I'd pick the mechanical CA every time.

Main reason is that I just love mechanical watches. Secondary reason is you don't have to worry about messing with a battery change. In my town, my AD no longer changes the batteries, as they tell me Breitling requires them to send it in for what essentially is a battery change every year or two. That sucks.

Sure, the CA will require service, and they recommend every 5 years, but I have a couple that are over 10 years old and have never been serviced and are running perfectly.

Cheers

Ross

M1. I have slate gray, & Yellow dial. Work around water & use the Chrono regularly. They are in regular rotation with mechanicals. But the quartz is always ready to go.

I had both.
The auto on a Pro1, and the 4 M1 colours! (except grey) All on Pro2.
For me, the M1 was visually better, with the Regatta markings and colourful dials.
The auto was subtle and felt solid but I still preferred the M1s.

Any idea what my Blue dial M1 with Pro2 is worth? Mint with case.
