I’m not sure how many people saw that on Breitlings website, you can now submit trade in requests for your current watches. Breitling has partnered with Crown and Caliber on the process and it’s pretty easy and had a quick turnaround. I tried it yesterday with my Datejust 2 and Airborne to see what kind of offer I would get and was surprised on the Datejust 2. The offer on the Airborne wasn’t that great but I had no intention of trading either them at this time anyway.

Thanks for the heads-up Justin - do you have a link / directions for that? I'm assuming it's USA only.

here you go:

https://www.breitling.com/us-en/store/trade-in/

according to Crown&Caliber their offer prices will be „at least 20%“ higher than they‘d normally quote.

Thanks Fred. I was on my phone when I typed that otherwise I would have included that. It was very easy and I had my quotes within a few hours. I imagine the time may be a bit longer once more people start to use it. You just need to provide the brand, model, answer if it has box and papers, and provide a description as well as a few photos. It's super easy. I'll admit, seeing the amount on the Datejust 2 made me consider the 806 re-issue but I may wait a bit longer on that one. Still need to see one in person before making that jump.

Yeah, I may just have to go preowned, or wait until the next great release.

I got an offer just under $7100 for my Datejust 2 and $3250 for my Airborne. I think price wise it was a fair offer for a trade in but I declined both. I was just interested to see what the amount would be and am glad to see Breitling take a step in this direction. For the casual watch fan, I think it’s a great option.
