On another forum, someone posted that the Aerospace Evo ceased production in January because the supplier refused movements to Breitling. Is there any truth to this story?

Interesting if that is true.

I find it hard to believe. I have only heard it from a couple of people on forums and never in a thread. The Areospace Evo is still on Breitling's webpage. If you do a search there is no record of that being said, My boutique certainly never mentioned it and they had the Areospace in stock at the time, as well as other instrument watches.

I doubt that it is ceasing production.

It is still a very popular watch.

Thanks

Thanks

The boutique told me it's their most popular model.

It's certainly being said in UK dealers that production has stopped, but not for that reason; I think the general assumption is that it is being replaced by a newer model. Interesting.

I had the confirmation already this year before Basel that the production had stopped. Confirmation both from an Ad in Switzerland and from customer service Head quarter in Switzerland. Surprised they can’t provide any replacement movements though.
It’s still On the webpage simply because there are still many in stock in the AD’s
I had high hopes they would already announce a replacement this year at Basel , hopefully it will be for 2020. Really need a new watch in the professional line now

I was wondering if maybe they have just ceased production because there is available models at AD'S and they don't want to manage overproduction.

Thanks for the update Watch Fred, does that mean we can't get these repaired or is it a temporary thing?

All I can say is that I asked directly at a Breitling Service Center about a replacement movement (B56 and 65) and they told me that the closest ETA for it will be end of 2020, maybe even 2021. The supplier (in this case it must be ETA) is not able (or willing) to supply them.

I don't know if it is the same with the latest Aerospace EVO movements, but it might be the same.

That is interesting, perhaps they are going to make the full movements themselves, or ETA are going to make limited batches of the base caliber? As far as I know none of the professional Instrument watches are discontinued.

True, my local Breitling Boutique has a list as long as my arm of people waiting to buy the Aerospace Evo. I think and I hope breitling actually does their own movement and dont have to rely on an outside supplier. I really want one so I am holding out to see what happens.

Very peculiar. The model is a modern icon so they should source another movement supplier then.
