Hi guys I currently only own one Breitling. The model is avenger gmt 11.

I was wondering firstly could you comment on size ? I’m leaning towards the 44mm and was wondering would the gmt be a good watch to do a size comparison with.?

Finally what is members opinions on the non chronograph vs the chrono??

Thanks in advance, please find a photo of my first breitling!!!!Image

First, congratulations on your first Breitling, although I don't own one it has always been one of my favorites. My advice to potential watch buyers is to buy the watch that you like, not the watch that others like or think you should buy. Everyone has an opinion as to what others should buy or do, but in the long run they will not be wearing the watch, must less paying for it. That being said, IMHO, I think the 43mm Avenger GMT II looks a little big on your wrist, it may be the angle in which the photograph was taken but the lugs seem to hang over the wrist just a bit. But if you are comfortable wearing a larger watch then I say go for it and enjoy! Each watch will wear somewhat differently depending on the curvature of the lugs. The only way to find out will be to try on each individual watch that you are interested in. As far as chronograph vs non-chrono I am a big chronograph fan, (may explain why I don't have the Avenger GMT II in the watch box), but that is only my opinion. Good luck!

You are so correct! When people start to pay your bill, you can start to worry about what said people think!Image

The chronograph is a very useful and brand-typical complication. The SOHC II. has a tad too large hour hand that covers the subdials (SOHC I. had a bit smaller one). The 42 mm is tthe perfect size, unfortunately Breitling does not produce the SOHC in the 42 mm size yet.
Hope this helps. You cannot go wrong with the SOH family anyway.
