Hi,
I have recently acquired an SA BS. The keeper is missing off the OEM (122S) strap. No biggie but I am going to buy off of those ebay cheapies as Breitling God bless them will not supply just the keeper. So the watch being an SA is a 24-20. What internal diameter should I get a 22mm or 24mm. My thinking is 22, Just wondered if anyone had done the same before on here.

Thanks

Hi,

You need to get the 24mm strap to match the lug width. It’s surprising how much play you get dropping 2mm. Below is a link to a picture of my Navitimer World with the 24mm Camel Croc strap. You can see it fits perfectly with no gaps. It’s the same for the rubber straps too

Hope that helps.

Davey.

I think the OP is just after a new keeper Davey, not a whole new strap.

That being the case, then I'd suggest getting a keeper with an internal size of 22mm would probably be fine as (as rightly noted) the strap itself tapers from 24mm to 20mm, so a 22mm keeper should do the job.... but that's assuming the keeper opening is essentially rectangular and the 22mm is the width of the "base" of the opening, if that makes sense. i.e. you will need to make sure the opening is big enough to accept the strap itself and then the tail as well.
