Hi all,

Had another UTC fail on me just before xmas, so thinking another new battery, took it into my jewellers.

They tried a new battery, but the movement itself had died.

So they kept the UTC, ordered a new movement and within 10 days, including Christmas and New Year it was back. I was thinking this is going to hurt the wallet, but no!

New movement, battery, pressure test, £50.00 or $64.00 Great service and realistic cost.

Anyhow, they saved the old movement for me, I'd not seen the engine of a UTC so thought I'd share a couple of pics.

Davey

This is interesting as I have just been quoted £154.15 + vat for my UTC service. Jeez!

Hiya,

The jeweller is called Chatfields

https://www.chatfieldsjewellers.co.uk

Hope this saves you a bunch of cash.

For the record the UTC is working perfectly.

Davey.
